Credit Unions are consumer-owned financial service cooperatives in which every depositor becomes a member-owner. With a philosophy of helping people versus making a profit, credit unions look out for their members’ interests and provide affordable and accessible financial services.

After expenses and required reserves have been met, their earnings are returned to their members in the form of lower rates on loans and services, and better savings rates. This is the credit union difference: Operating to serve their members' needs and not for financial profit.
