Financial Wellbeing:  It is within your reach

Financial instability can be a challenging and heartbreaking arrangement.  Often it is a lack of financial literacy and development of the tools needed to stay on track.  Our goal at Hopewell Federal Credit Union has always been to help our members get ahead financially.  With this continued goal in mind, we set on a path to assist members with financial literacy and financial wellness.

The needs of each member differ; however, Our team members are prepared to offer customized assistance to those who may need help.  Whether you need budgeting guidance, information about paying down debts, help understanding your credit or assistance creating good spending habits, they are on hand to provide these services, free of charge. We have already had the opportunity to share these services with some of Hopewell Federal Credit Union members and witnessed great success.

One couple, who utilized these services, was asked how they felt financial counseling helped them get ahead financially?  They felt that it put financial issues into perspective and allowed them to prioritize their debt.  They are still working to get ahead and are hopeful that after a year they will feel more in control of their debt.  They expressed an interest to meet again to take additional steps to develop their financial stability.

They were also asked what steps they learned which have helped them get financially healthy.  They stated that setting cash aside for groceries and luxury items allowed them to stay within their established budget.  "We are using the debit cards less and keeping our goals in check."  They recommend this service to anyone who is having issues with financial well being.

If you are struggling to get ahead financially and would like to speak with our team, please contact Hopewell Federal at 740.522.8311 to schedule your free counseling session.
