What is a Credit Union?

A Credit Union’s focus is helping people versus making a profit, credit unions look out for their members’ interests and provide affordable and accessible financial services including lower rates on loans and services and better saving rates.

How is a Credit Union different?

Banks are owned by groups of stockholders whose main interest is to earn a healthy return on their investments.  In contrast, Credit Unions exist to serve their member-owners, the people who save and borrow there.  In other words, Credit Unions return to their members in higher savings rates, better services and lower borrowing rates.

Who is Hopewell Federal?
