Elder Exploitation and Financial Exploitation

Financial Fraud is on the rise.  It is important to stay informed and vigilant to ensure you don’t fall prey.  The Ohio Attorney General recently published this reference guide about Elder Exploitation and Financial Exploitation.  It has wonderful information that is important.  Please take a moment to keep yourself educated about these risks.

Identity Theft and Unemployment Benefits

Unfortunately, identity theft is a widespread national challenge. Many Ohioans have become victims, and their identities used to file fraudulent unemployment claims in both the traditional unemployment and Pandemic Unemployment Assistance programs. The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services offers the following resources to help both individuals and employers who have been affected. As an alternative, individuals may instead call (833) 658-0394, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
